Advice on Celebrities
What the world has been waiting for, 01/01/2009 http://havenstrange.com Write with me http://squidoo.com/InkOnYourPillow Why is the western world so fixated on celebrities? Who Anjelina is sleeping with. What Gwynneth named her last child. The name of the designer who dressed Brad for the Oscars. Where has Julia gone and why isn’t she writing? Yes, the rest of the world does idolize movie stars, but not to the extent that we do. Except maybe China! One could make a fortune just writing about the people we spend $9.50 a pop for at the theatres. Following them around and snapping their photos. And there are many that do earn a very comfortable income. Let me ask you this, when are the most copies of tabloids sold? When they picture a famous television or big screen star in some sort of scandal. True, these celebs are so idolized, that mere humans must bring them down a notch-essentially humanize them; know that they, too, have bad things happen to them. Know that they have the same problems, are experiencing the same ups and downs that we do; know that they, too, make mistakes. We must reassure ourselves that they are human, which allows us to bring them down a notch on the God ladder. Normal, non celebrity types, have gone through the exact same experiences. Have dealt with the same things! My advice for you today- find a local hero. Why is he or she worthy of your adoration? Visit their shop, spend money at their restaraunt. Write an article about them in your local paper. Look around locally, you may be surprised. And you may just make some new friends, enjoy some new experiences, and be a celebrity in your own right.
