Developing a Website

  • girl-writing.jpgBlueprint.  You have an idea.  Draw it out on paper.  How do you want it to look on the screen?  What will be the color scheme?  You want it to be streamlined, so information or product is easily accessible by viewers.  Get creative, you can always erase!
  • Know your audience.  Who are your viewers?  What type of people will look up your product or information?  Know your demographics, who the ones you will be targeting your services to.  It will come in handy for design of your site, as well as for advertising and marketing later.
  • Hosting.  Do your research.  Outline what features you want from the service.  Finding a host that meets your needs takes some homework.  How tech savvy are you?  Will you need support?  Find out if it is offered, and how long it takes to reply to your problem.  Some offer free hosting, but they place forced ads on your pages, and you must determine if you want your viewers to be subjected to the ads.  Plus, you may want to make money placing your own ads.  There again, do your homework!  Excellent customer service, great prices, great features,  www.ezrabbit.com
  • If you aren’t sure, ask.  Most hosting companies will be happy to assist you, and answer your questions.
  • How often will you be adding content to your site?  In the beginning, you probably will not need much memory, but keep aware of the pricing for when and if you need to upgrade.
  •  http://jadexi.synthasite.com  offers helpful info on site building.
  • Double check your choices.  See what others say about them.
